The Link Between Sugar, Inflammation & Ageing

Did you know that the recommended limit of sugar intake per day is 12 teaspoons or about 200 calories?

Did you also know that the average consumption today is about 270 calories of sugar each day (17 teaspoons)?!

This is hidden in a lot of the chocolate bars, cookies, cereals, and other packaged foods that you might be eating regularly by the way!

Unfortunately, you will rarely see “sugar” listed on the nutrition label. You will often instead see sugar under different names such as corn syrup, agave nectar, palm sugar, cane juice amongst others…

Every time I speak to a client for the first time, at least 95% of them have terrible sugar cravings but the good news is that this begins to subside the moment that they start balancing blood sugar levels, remove candida in the gut and regulate inflammation.

I can’t even tell you the countless emails that I get on a monthly basis from shocked clients once they realise that they no longer have the sweet tooth that they once did. How they don’t even think about it anymore and how much their taste buds have changed.

This is what happens when the body is BALANCED. Sugar cravings are common but are NOT normal.

HOW IT CAN LEAD TO INFLAMMATION and AGING

High levels of sugar in your bloodstream will increase the release of insulin which will trigger inflammatory cytokines and eventually lead to rapid aging.

Remember, higher levels of insulin mean higher levels of inflammation!

How?

When your pancreas detects high blood sugar, it sends insulin in order to take that sugar to your cells and liver for stored glycogen to be used as a fuel source. Anything that is not used will be stored as body fat (especially belly fat).

This cycle happens every time you consume sugar and your cells eventually get tired of the process and become insulin resistant.

Sugar will then lurk inside your body freely and continue to create oxidative damage which can lead to rapid aging.

BOTTOM LINE

Not being diagnosed with high blood sugar doesn’t mean that it is optimal and under control.

My 21 Day Reset is one of the best ways to balance healthy levels of blood sugar and inflammation.

You can ease your transition by replacing the sugary and processed foods with the healthy sweet treats found in Synergised Nutrition

They will not cause a spike in blood sugar levels and are actually quite healthy for you.

However, remember that they are only approved after the 21 Day Reset. The whole point is to get rid of the sugar cravings and get them under control by balancing blood sugar first!
