Unfortunately, many people live with uncomfortable symptoms or health issues just because ‘that’s the way it is’ and, when they’ve visited the doctor, they don’t meet the criteria for a diseased state and therefore don’t require treatment.
However, you shouldn’t have to live with ‘unexplained’ health issues and, believe it or not, there is a life that is free from these symptoms that so many people just accept as everyday life, such as bloating, abdominal pain, irregular menstrual cycles or painful periods, skin issues such as eczema and acne…
You deserve a life of energy, vitality, a healthy, functioning body, good moods and glowing skin!
If you don’t want 2022 to be weighed down by the same struggles that you lived with in 2021, and the year before that, and maybe the year before that, then you don’t have to!
Let’s plan to make 2022 our healthiest and happiest year yet. ‘How do I do that?’ I hear you ask. Well, there are two approaches that I recommend…
If you are struggling with uncomfortable symptoms or health issues (diagnosed or not!) then it’s important to get to the root cause(s) of these problems that you’re facing. Blood tests aren’t enough to get a good idea of what’s happening in your body – read my recent blog post on why here, and on the functional lab tests available here.
We need to get beneath the surface level symptoms, discard the ‘sticky plaster’ approach, and get into the nitty gritty of how your bodily symptoms are functioning and where we need to focus to bring your entire body back into balance to be, and feel, healthy again.
By identifying the root cause(s) of why you’re feeling the way you do, and experiencing various ‘unexplained’ symptoms, you are not only giving yourself the power to heal from the underlying issues, but you are gaining education and understanding on your own body and what it needs to serve you the best it can.
If you don’t have reoccurring and constant symptoms, but instead regularly feel run down, get unwell a lot and lack energy then your body probably needs some TLC. Or maybe, you feel ok, but you want to feel better. Maybe 2022 is the year that you become the best and healthiest version of yourself, giving you the ultimate platform to reach your personal goals?
I recommend following a health protocol, such as my 21 Day Reset and GI Protocol. The 21 Day Reset is the ultimate functional medicine detox, it will help remove toxins that have accumulated overtime (those that eventually lead to symptoms if not kept in check!) and help reset your diet by reducing cravings and spikes in blood sugar. The reset boosts energy and mood, and the good work it’s doing internally is often shown on your glowing skin!
The GI Protocol is the best thing you can do for your gut health (and therefore, overall health!). It will help with the removal of pathogenic overgrowth, balance your microbiome, and rebuild the gut lining in a very specific and scientific manner. The gut is your second brain, so it is super important to keep it healthy as it is responsible for so much more than just digestion! Your immune system, your mental health, your hormonal balance, are all heavily influenced by how healthy your gut is.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Whether you have specific symptoms, want to feel healthier or feel ‘good but could be better’ then it’s time to improve your gut health and, in turn, your overall health.
In fact, it is so difficult in the 21st century to live without internal and external stressors, that everyone could do with some TLC. This can be done by following a protocol, such as the 21 Day Reset or the GI Protocol, or by working 1:1 with an integrative health practitioner, like myself.
An integrative health practitioner will be able to help you identify root cause(s) for symptoms and tailor a nutrition, supplement and lifestyle plan that is bespoke to you and your personal bio-individuality.
Let’s make 2022 healthy and happy!
