The Truth Behind Acne, Psoriasis, Eczema

DIG DEEP INTO THE WHY

Our skin is a reflection of what’s happening inside so it’s important to get a picture of what that is! If you don’t, it will likely develop into something more serious in the future.

The majority of skin issues start in the gut and they include issues such as leaky gut syndrome, yeast/bacterial overgrowth or gut dysbiosis. Obviously, you can have an atopic reaction from the outside environment, for example if you switch laundry detergents, or you were exposed to some chemical sensitivity. However, 9 times out of 10 there is some gut based dysfunction which is being manifested through the skin.

For acne sufferers, if you need to go deeper (which you might) you may want to look at hormones. You should ask yourself if you have high testosterone levels, are estrogen dominant or if your adrenals are out of balance. If so, what is causing your hormones to be out whack? This is very individual; each person will have different hormonal imbalances with different root causes.

SKIP THE CONVENTIONAL MEDICINE APPROACH

Whether it’s birth control, antibiotics, Isotretinoin or even steroids, they are just not worth it. One of the issues is that the majority of people relapse, and we see the skin issues come back over and over again. The reason for this is that these medicines do not address the underlying root causes, they just mask the symptoms and when you get off them, unless you’ve solved your underlying issue, you’re likely to see the problem returning.

The dangers of these medications are real and significant, and they’ll affect your body so much that you will probably end up in a worse position than when you actually started. So why take a chance?

DON’T GO THROUGH IT ALONE

Unless specific lab tests are carried (and no, we’re not talking about blood tests here) to identify the underlying root cause, it is unlikely that you will solve the problem by navigating it alone. If testing is not an option for you financially, it doesn’t mean that you have to deal with it for the rest of your life. You can get clear skin by figuring out the root cause based on your symptoms.
