If you find that your powder blend is too sweet or not sweet enough, there are a few things you can do to adjust the taste to your liking. First, if the powder is too sweet for you, try adding more liquid. This will help to dilute the sweetness. You can also try adding more savoury ingredients to your smoothie or smoothie bowl. Leafy greens, cacao nibs, matcha, seeds, or savoury nuts are all good options. On the other hand, if you prefer a sweeter taste, there are a few things you can add to your protein blend. Berries are a great option, as they are naturally sweet and packed with antioxidants. You can also add natural sweeteners such as stevia or monk fruit to your smoothie. Sweeter fruits like banana, apple, or mango are also good choices. The protein in your blend should help balance the blood sugar spike from the sugars in the fruits. Remember, taste is subjective, so don't be afraid to experiment and make a shake or smoothie that suits you. Try adding different ingredients in different amounts until you find the perfect balance of sweetness and flavour.

After running hundreds of comprehensive food sensitivity tests with clients in Private Practice, Paula realised that rice was often elevated as a sensitivity from an igG perspective. This means that the consumption of rice would cause inflammation on certain individuals and lead to a host of symptoms. She specifically designed the Daily Essential Formula to be an anti-inflammatory and hypoallergenic nutritional supplement and this is why she chose to not include rice protein as an ingredient. She instead carefully selected a form of pea protein that is organic and water extracted with all nine essential amino acids.

When it comes to taste, it really is very personal so it’s difficult to satisfy everyone’s palate but we try our best! If it’s not sweet enough for you, try adding some sweetness from either natural sugars such as maple syrup or natural stevia if you’d like to keep it sugar-free! If you’re having it in a smoothie, try adding more sweet fruits such as bananas or mangoes. However, if it’s too sweet for you, we recommend adding less powder and more liquid. If blended in a smoothie, opt for low sugar fruits such as berries. Adding bitter ingredients such as cacao powder, matcha powder and cacao nibs also bring the sweetness down :)
