Macadamia nuts are definitely one of the healthiest nuts due to their nutrition profile when compared to other nuts. Most people choose animal protein for complete amino acids but you can actually get a great delivery of amino acids by consuming nuts, particularly macadamia nuts. It has been very well documented that monounsaturated fats are the healthiest type of fat and it is this type of fat that dominates their nutritional profile. In fact, they are known to have higher levels of monounsaturated fats than any natural, commercially available food source! You can have a few as a healthy, high protein and fibre and blood sugar-friendly snack, add it to your smoothies or make some delicious homemade macadamia milk (my favourite)!
